Rust-and-BoneRust and Bone, the latest film from Jacques Audiard, arrived in the UK earlier this month for the London Film Festival and left with the inaugural LFF Best Film Award.

Arriving in UK cinemas this week on a wave of keenly positive reviews the film tells the arduous love affair of two people brought together following a tragic accident. The film is drawing much attention to the two actors leading the film, Marion Cotillard and the Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts, who is perhaps best known here for his roles in Black Book and more recently Michael Roskam’s feature debut Bullhead.

Meeting the changing emotional tide of the relationship in Audiard’s new film is no easy feat and Craig Skinner sat down with the actor during the festival to talk about the allure of the powerful story of two lost souls as well as his collaboration with the director.

Rust and Bone is out on the 2nd of November here in the UK.
