The next instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise is due for release next May, and we cannot wait for it to arrive. Fast and Furious and Fast Five have been fantastic in transitioning the films towards the heist genre, and naturally we’re all looking forward to seeing what director Justin Lin brings us for the sixth slice of action.
Vin Diesel put out a great new shot of himself last week in deep contemplation on set as the awesome Dominic Toretto, and now the actor has put out through Facebook another brilliant photo of himself on set with an unidentified female, with the words:
“I got you.”
Could that be Michelle Rodriguez, back from the dead? So many questions, so much time before they get answered. I can’t wait.
The synopsis is currently being kept under wraps, but with tanks and the like seen on set already (and in one of the new set photos below, put out by the film’s official Facebook), we can expect something big.
Diesel will be reuniting with Paul Walker once more, with the usual brilliant ensemble headed up by Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Dwayne Johnson, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim, Tyrese Gibson, Gina Carano, Gal Gadot, and the brilliant Sung Kang.
Lin, who has helmed the third, fourth, and fifth instalments, is returning behind the camera for the sixth, once more directing from a script by Chris Morgan, who has penned all of Lin’s films in the franchise to date.
Fast and Furious 6 will be hitting the big screen on 24th May, 2013, a date which really can’t come fast enough. If it’s anything like its predecessor, it will be one of the biggest films of next year, by far, and I can’t wait for its arrival.
