Gambit-Colin-Firth-PosterReleased in the UK and Ireland this week, Michael Hoffman (One Fine Day) returns behind the camera to bring us Gambit, with an impressive leading cast in Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz, and Alan Rickman.

Renowned writers Joel and Ethan Coen (The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men) have penned the script, and after we saw four new clips for the film earlier in the week, Momentum have released another new clip, giving us a look at Diaz’s arrival in the UK.

“Private art curator Harry Deane devises a finely-crafted scheme to con England’s richest man and avid art collector, Lionel Shabandar, into purchasing a fake Monet painting. In order to bait his buyer, he recruits a Texas rodeo queen to cross the pond and pose as a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of WWII.”

Starring alongside the leading trio will be an equally impressive support, headed up by Stanley Tucci, Cloris Leachman, and Tom Courtenay.

Gambit was released in theatres across the UK and Ireland yesterday. Still no word yet on a US release, but if the film succeeds here, then it may well be heading across the Atlantic sometime next year.
