Hitting the US in exactly one month, Jack Reacher sees Tom Cruise take the lead as the eponymous character, based on Lee Child’s best-selling novel, One Shot, in the Jack Reacher series.

Following the full-length trailer last month, we’ve seen a few first TV spots surface, and now Paramount have released a new sixty-second spot, along with a slightly altered version (with added title cards) of one we’ve already seen.

“When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.”

Cruise stars alongside an excellent cast, headed up by Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, Robert Duvall, and Werner Herzog.

Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is at the helm, directing from his own script, having adapted the original novel, One Shot, by Lee Child.

Jack Reacher will be opening in the US on 21st December, and then coming to the UK for a Boxing Day release on 26th December, getting the same slot as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol had in each territory last year. And we know how immensely well that did at the box office.
