Jack Reacher will be hitting theatres hard in just over a month’s time, with Tom Cruise front and centre in what could be the first in a very successful action franchise for Paramount, based on the original Lee Child series of novels.

The first full-length trailer for the action blockbuster debuted last month, and now the studio have released the first two TV spots, as we continue the countdown to its release next month.

“When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.”

Cruise takes the lead alongside an excellent cast, headed up by Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, Robert Duvall, and Werner Herzog.

Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is at the helm, directing from his own script, having adapted the original novel, One Shot, by Lee Child.

Jack Reacher will be hitting US theatres on 21st December, just in time for Christmas, before a Boxing Day release here in the UK on 26th December, the same slot in each territory as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. For now, here are the first two TV spots to give you a taste of the action blockbuster McQuarrie and Cruise have in store for us. Enjoy.
